Building on Faith is Habitat for Humanity, Stanislaus’ annual period to emphasize church partnerships. It is a time when people of faith are urged to put their faith into action. Churches around the world join together to pray for those inadequately housed and to build homes with families in need of shelter. Sermons of Love When churches and other faith groups in a community work together on a Habitat project, they build so much more than houses. They build hope and healing and unity. When people of faith around the world simultaneously build enough houses that others have to take notice, they offer a global witness to the wonder of God’s love. Opportunities to Build on Faith Your church can participate in a variety of ways. · One of the most exciting opportunities is to blitz build a home—to complete construction in about a week. Churches can fund and build houses on their own or with partner churches. · Small congregations can fund and build part of a home (raise the funds and provide the labor for roofing, for example). · Churches may choose to blitz frame or complete a part of construction during Building on Faith. · Some churches choose to break ground for a house, dedicate a home or announce an exciting church partnership during Building on Faith. Call us at 209-575-4585 for more information on Building on Faith.
