How to sign Up To Volunteer

Volunteer Orientation

The first step to volunteering would be to attend a volunteer orientation. Orientations are held every Thursday at 12:30 p.m. and once a month on the third Saturday of each month at 12:30 p.m. All orientations last about 30 minutes. We do take some court appointed community service volunteers as well.

 *If your group or yourself can't make it to the orientation, you can call our Volunteer Coordinator to set up a one-on-one meeting.

All of the orientations will take place in the main office at:

Current Volunteer Opportunites

We are looking for volunteers to help out at the construction site, no experience is okay. We are also looking for volunteers for both of our ReStore locations.

Construction Information: Volunteers intersted in helping on the job site must be 16 years or older. Construction days and hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30am to 3:30pm. Thursday's construction begins at 10am.

ReStore Informaiton: Volunteers must be 14 years or older. Volunteer duties may include, but not limited to; customer service, donation intake, stocking donations, and repairing furniture. We now have two locations for volunteers to help out at! One at 630 Kearney Ave and another at 3124 McHenry Ave. For more informaiton about volunteering, please give our Volunteer Coordinator, Cecelia Gonzales a call at 209-575-4585 ext 107.

Special Request for Volunteers:
We are looking for volunteers to help with our 20th Annual Ecumenical Choir Concert. We are looking for volunteers 16 and over able to lift over 30 lbs. to help with the set up of the stage Friday, February 24th at 5:30pm and the break down Monday, February 27th at 5:30pm. The event will be held at the First United Methodist Church across from the Stanislaus County Library.

Volunteers Needed!

If your profession deals with any part of construction or other qualified occupation, your volunteer hours can be considered as an in-kind donation!

How To Get Started

1. Download Volunteer Waiver Form (Adult, Youth, Spanish) and bring the completed Waiver to a Volunteer Orientation.
2. Complete the Online Safety Course. Your certificate of completion will be emailed to our office. (Safety courses are optional, not required)
3. Once you have attended an orientiaton, before you leave you can sign up for the location and days you would like to volunteer!!
